Kathure Nyamu is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in the field of business advisory and investment banking. Ms Nyamu’s leadership boasts an impressive 27-year track record, characterised by dedication to excellence and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction. Widely respected as a specialist in various key areas, including mergers and acquisitions, privatisations, valuations, finance raising, wealth management, business strategy, corporate finance, and securities brokerage, she stands as a prominent thought leader in the industry.

In 1997, she embarked on her career at Deloitte, one of the renowned Big 4 accounting firms, where she started as an Auditor. She progressed to the company’s corporate finance unit as a Senior Consultant, gaining valuable insights into financial matters.

In 2004, Ms Nyamu joined PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), another member of the Big 4, further refining her expertise in corporate finance.

Two years later, driven by her unwavering passion for investment banking, Ms Nyamu found herself at CBA Capital, the investment banking arm of the former Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), now known as NCBA Bank Kenya. Ms Nyamu’s journey at CBA Capital was one of continuous growth as she steadily climbed the corporate ladder, ultimately becoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in 2014. Her tenure as CEO spanned five successful years, during which she played a pivotal role in the prosperous merger of CBA with National Industrial Credit (NIC) Bank, forming the new entity NCBA.

Academically, Ms Nyamu is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K), and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi (UoN). Additionally, she has participated in the Advanced Management Programme, a highly regarded joint initiative by Strathmore Business School (SBS), Lagos Business School (LBS), and IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
