Transitioning through roles in various geographies, including Nigeria, the United Kingdom (UK) and Zimbabwe, Joyce demonstrated global leadership by orchestrating audits, driving consumer insights, and optimising operational efficiency across Africa and Middle East.
It was during her tenure as Head of Innovations at East Africa Breweries (EABL) that Joyce’s visionary leadership truly shone. Here, she led ground-breaking launches and doubled revenue through consumer insights-driven strategies, cementing her reputation as a transformative leader in the industry.
At Standard Chartered, Joyce’s impact has been profound. Under her leadership, the bank has experienced a notable elevation in brand perception, marked by affluent marketing campaigns and thought leadership engagements in key business events such as Africa Climate Week and the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon. Her strategic sponsorship and sustainability initiatives have not only enhanced brand awareness but have also fostered community engagement, lifting participation across women, youth and persons with disabilities.

She generously offers guidance to aspiring professionals through initiatives like the Greenhorn Mentorship Project at the University of Nairobi (UoN) School of Business and as a mentor for entrepreneurs with the SOMO Project. Her dedication to continuous growth and community betterment is further evidenced by her Board membership at the British Chamber of Commerce and LVCT Health Boards.
Joyce’s leadership journey is grounded in a commitment to family and community. Growing up in Eastlands, she values kinship and community, proudly identifying as a devoted mother, a sister, and a friend to many.
